Marsala returns to the Camelot Lounge

After selling out a bunch of shows, Marsala are returning to Camelot Lounge for another party! Marsala covers some of the best music from Cuba, Colombia, Brazil, Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia, Russia, France, Italy, Spain, Zimbabwe, playing Gypsy Music, Tango, Salsa, Samba, the African Township thing, French Rap, Italian Jazz, Tom Waits songs and Russian Folk. This music will make you move!

Darth Vegas play special Halloween Spooktacular!

Darth Vegas have risen from their (rumored) demise to play two special Halloween shows this Weekend! The Sydney band are known for the “bizarre and original ideas”, so you just know this will be an interesting (and undoubtedly creepy) night. Joining the shows will be Northen Territory’s Bat Hazard.

Myles Mayo releases new album and announces shows

Adelaide favourite Myles Mayo (Special Patrol, Myles Mayo Band etc) has just released his new album Modern Heart and will be celebrating in Sydney on Sunday November 3rd at The Promethean.

The afternoon show kicks off around 4.00pm, with doors opening at 3.30. Get down for some new songs, new bands members and some special guests!

The Guppies to headline Garage Syndicate Vol. 3

Newcastle’s The Guppies are set to headline the 3rd instalment of Garage Syndicate, held at FBi Social on November 14th. Rounding out the epic evening of sweet Australian music will be Designer Mutts, Service Bellsand Claws & Organs.

Previous line-ups have included Hailer, New Brutalists, The Chitticks, Kids With Teeth, Jungle Cuts, and Royal Chant. Pretty cool, right?

Sounds Like Sunset launch single "Second Chance"

Sydney shoegaze legends Sounds Like Sunset have returned after a long 8 year absents with their killer new track, "Second Chance". To celebrate the guys are launching the single on November 15th at Brighton Up Bar.

Joining in the fun will be some great local and interstate bands, including Royal Chants, Yes I’m Leaving and Claws & Organs(Melbourne). It’s been a while between drinks for Sounds Like Sunset, so get down and celebrate with the guys this November!

Pretty City release debut EP + play Sydney

Melbourne’s Pretty City are set to launch their debut EP Heights this November. The EP was recorded at Hot House with Jez Giddings (Kingswood, King of the North) and will be released later this month.

To celebrate the release, the boys are taking their lo-fi sound on the road, kicking things off in Sydney on Saturday 15th Nov at FBi Social. Joining the celebrations will be The Ivory Drips, Hoy and The Carraways.

The Spoils announce their return to Sydney!

After and eight year hiatus, Melbourne sweets The Spoils have announced their long awaited return with two Sydney shows on Thursday November 28! Two in one day! The shows will be held at Brighton Up Bar and Frankie’s.

The Spoils formed in the late 90s and have since toured the world with their unique live show and ‘dark urban balladry’, sharing the stage with the like of Bonnie Prince Billy (USA), Catpower (USA), The Church, The Drones, Rowland S Howard, Mick Harvey (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) and many, many more.

Sydney psychedelic rockers Adrift For Days are about to release their album Come Midnight… on vinyl. The atmospheric and deeply personal album was recorded at 301 Studios with Tim Carr (Matt Corby, The Herd, Dumbsaint, and released last year though Art As Catharsis. The album received universal praise, being hailed a ‘masterpiece of modern sludge/stoner metal’. This is one for your collection!

They guys are playing two special release shows to celebrate, kicking things off at Hermann’s Bar in Sydney on November 29, before heading down to Melbourne. Don’t miss this show!

The Never Ever announce Christmas shows

Sydney pop-rockers The Never Ever have announced a run of Chirstmas shows for December. Joining the festivities will be some of Australia’s finest young bands, including Melbourne’s Let’s Not Pretend& Move On, Be Strong (Melbourne only), Canberra’s Drawing North and Breakaway (Sydney only).

You know these shows will be good, after all, these guys were chosen to support punk-pop royalty, recently touring with Simple Plan, Yellowcard and We The Kings. Not just anyone can support those bands!

Danny Howells launches album

British DJ Danny Howells is set to return down under early next year in support of his long-awaited new album Balance 024.

Since breaking through in the late-90s, Howells has earned him self a reputation as ‘The DJs DJ’, with his unique sounds and storytelling tunes.

He will play two shows while in the country, kicking things off in Melbourne on January 17th before heading to Sydney on the 18th.

Lets give the DJ of DJs a warm welcome next Janurary!

Homeboy Sandman announces debut Sydney show

American rapper Homeboy Sandman has announced his debut Sydney shows for 1st February 2014.

The hard-working Queens native released his debut album back in 2007 and has had quite a ride since. In short: after receiving a widespread education (New Hampshire, Philadelphia, London and Long Island), he was chosen as a judge on MTV's MADE, featured in hip-hop mags XXL and The Source and, while most of his writing is in relation to music, he has even contributed to The Huffington and Gwaker. He’s been a busy guys, that’s for sure.

But, somehow, he’s founds time to head down under. So don’t miss this lyrical genius when he hits Sydney next February!
